Dirndl (German traditional dress)
The Dirndl is a skirt and it is described as a light circular cut dress which is gathered in at the waist and falls below the knee.It consists of having puff sleeves and the modern Dirndl is tailored and mostly hand printed or has silk fabrics. In the 19th century it was classed as a uniform for domestic workers. The Dirndl is worn to festivals as well as day to day wear. This can link in with my german heritage.
